Before Arriving
Park visits are by appointment only. Please ensure you have booked a slot before arriving.
Bookings that are cancelled with 24 hours notice or more will be refunded. To cover the costs of online booking and the administration of refunds, a cancellation fee of 35p will be applied for each cancellation.
If you cannot attend your booking, you may prefer to move it to an alternative date and time. Please contact us if you wish to do this as this will avoid any cancellation fee being applied.
Cancellations will not be refunded if they are made with less than 24 hours notice.
Please do not bring your dog to the park if they are unwell.
Once your booking is placed, you will receive a confirmation email. Please check your spam box. If you haven't received it, please let us know straight away. You will not receive your gate code unless you have received a confirmation email.
You will receive an email 24 hours before your slot time to remind you of your booking. The gate code will be sent to you by email two hours before the start of your slot time. Please check your spam box and contact us as soon as possible if you haven't received it.
A maximum of 6 dogs only at any one time.
All dogs must be up to date with their vaccinations.
All dogs must remain in your car until the park is empty.
All dogs must be microchipped and wear an ID tag whilst on the park.
If you are bringing an XL Bully to the park, we need to know in advance. Please tick the correct box on the order form to declare your dog and upload a copy of your public liability insurance and exemption certificate. Please also read our instructions for XL Bullies here before attending your appointment.
Please do not arrive more than 5 minutes early.
When you do arrive, if someone is in the park or in the car park area, please wait on the corner of Green Dyke until the previous user has left. This is of the UTMOST importance as the previous client’s dog(s) may require space from either you or your dog(s). Your dogs must remain in your car until you have entered the carpark and locked the middle airlock gate behind you.
On Arriving
There is a maximum of three cars allowed in the carpark at any one time. If you require more, please contact us in advance to make arrangements.
Please note that each slot is for 55 minutes. We have a 5 minute gap between slots to ensure that where possible, only one client is on the premises at one time.
Do not attempt to enter any part of the park if it is in use. Do not open any gates. This includes in the car park area. If the previous client stays past your start time and does not appear to be leaving, please call Debby as soon as possible on 07752402978. Someone is usually on or around the site so will be there in just a few minutes.
Please ensure all gates are securely closed at all times. Do not remove your dog's lead until you are 100% sure all gates are closed and secure. For your own safety, please lock the gates behind you whilst you are using the park. We recommend walking around the fences of the park before allowing your dog to run free. Although we check the park at least twice a day, if you have come straight in after another user, we haven't been able to check it before your use. Please let us know of any problems as soon as possible. You can call Debby on 07752402978.
In The Park
Entrance to the park is through the pedestrian gate in the airlock carpark. Please ensure it is locked securely behind you before allowing your dog off the lead.
If you arrive late for your session you must still leave at the end of your allotted time. Please contact me if you do arrive late, and I will let you know if there is another client after you. If I can extend your appointment I will. Anyone who overstays more than three times will be banned from using the park.
You are responsible for your dog at all times whilst using the park. Under no circumstances can you leave your dog unattended in the park.
Please do not allow your dogs to dig holes anywhere other than the Diggeroo sandpit and neighbouring soil tyre. Any holes should be reported immediately as they cause a serious danger for dogs and other park users. There is a bucket of soil in the park shelter that you can use to fill any holes your dog has made.
Lily's Peace Garden to the left of the carpark, is a sensory garden designed specifically for dogs who enjoy a gentle stroll and sniff around. It is an area designed to awaken the senses of smell, taste, touch, sight and sound. All dogs are invited to explore and use this area but please do not allow your dog to dig up any plants. The plants in this area are all non toxic and pet friendly however, we cannot be held responsible for any sickness or allergies your dog may experience from being in this area.
Please pick up after your dog immediately. If you have forgotten your own bags, you are welcome to use one of the biodegradable bags provided in the Dog House park shelter and attached to the fence posts around the park. Please tie them securely and place them in the bins provided. If you see an unpicked poo in the park, please consider picking that up too!
You must remove all of your personal dog toys and training aids on leaving the park, being particularly vigilant to remove any broken toys or balls. Tennis balls in particular pose a serious choking risk to dogs. We also have many dogs who resource guard items which can cause aggressive behaviour.
At no time should a dog(s) be tethered to any structures on site i.e. fencing, posts, gates etc.
Please respect our neighbours and keep any noise to a minimum.
The Dog House park shelter is for your comfort and use. It has a seating area both inside and outside under the veranda. You will find first aid kits for both dogs and humans, clean towels, a comment book and a notifications board, plus the addresses and phone numbers of the two closest vets. Please look after the park shelter and it's belongings and keep it clean and tidy so it can be enjoyed by all.
There is clean drinking water on tap and drinking bowls available. You will also find a watering can in the park shelter to wash away any loose or runny poo.
If you are using the park for the training or walking of other people's dogs, you will need to have your own Insurance in place to cover your client's dogs. We ask that you inform us if this is the purpose for hiring the park.
Please ensure you take any litter or food scraps home with you or use the correct bins provided both in the Dog House park shelter and near the picnic tables. Likewise, you may use small treats for dog training whilst on the park but please do not leave any laying around where other dogs can pick them up. We have dogs with medical conditions and allergies that use the park too.
The park is surrounded by 6 foot high secure wire fencing and a skirting buried underground. There is also a privacy screen added to three sides. We have made sure not to place any equipment near to the fencing so as not to aid in helping escapees! If your dog is able to jump high fences the park may not be totally secure for you.
The ground is uneven in parts of the park and caution must be taken. You are advised to wear sensible and appropriate footwear to suit the grounds and conditions.
No smoking allowed in the park.
Strictly no glass bottles allowed in the park.
No unaccompanied dogs or children under 16 years old to be left in the park at any time.
The park is used at the clients own risk. Go Mutts! Wisbech accept no liability for any loss, injury or accident that occurs to the client, their dogs or their equipment, or for any veterinary bills that arise from using the park.
Please do not climb on the gates, fences or play equipment.
You are required to leave the park by 55 minutes past the hour. This is to ensure the next user's slot begins on the hour.
For your safety, CCTV is in operation at all times on these premises.
We strongly support training dogs with positive reinforcement therefore there is absolutely no electric collars, no citronella collars or similar, choke chains or harsh training methods allowed in the park.
We reserve the right to refuse admission to or evict any person from the premises.
Disclaimer
When entering the park, you are doing so on agreement that you are responsible for the actions and behaviour of your dog at all times. You are responsible for any injury or damage caused by or to you or your dog.
The park is surrounded by 6ft fences. It also has anti dig fences below ground level. Whilst this is as secure as we could make it, it is not guaranteed to be 100% escape proof. Go Mutts! Wisbech is not responsible for any escapees, injuries or loss of personal possessions! If your dog has a history of climbing or jumping a 6ft fence, please reconsider using the park and stay close with them to ensure this doesn't happen.
We check the park at least twice a day for any problems. If you spot anything wrong, please report it as soon as possible.
